Company and employee information

Information such as name, display name, title, mobile phone number, and business email address is also available in the Time & Expenses module. Thus, any changes made in this page will be reflected in both areas.

  • Inbound Email address

    The inbound email address is automatically generated by Sage Construction Management and cannot be modified. When an email is sent from Sage Construction Management and the recipient replies back through email instead of the provided TeamLink Portal, this reply email will appear in email module of the original user.

  • Active

    Contacts and employees can be active or inactive. Deselecting this field removes the user and marks the employee as inactive in the Time & Expenses module.

  • Is User

    Deselecting this field removes the employee from the users.

User information

  • User Login

    Can be the same as the display name or user defined.

  • Role

    The role is applicable to standard logins, not Time & Expense users. Learn more here.

  • Hint Question and Hint Answer

    Both of these fields are used to retrieve a password through email if it's unknown.

  • Change Password link

    When entering a new password, the information must be entered twice to confirm the setting. The password must comply with the user password security policy, which is set in Settings > Company Settings > Security.

  • Access All Projects / Leads

    If this is deselect, make sure to select the projects the user has access to; otherwise there will be no project for the user to select on the Main Menu.

  • Access All Uploaded Files

    Regardless of the role, if this option is selected, the user is able to view uploaded files from anyone.

  • Time Approval Access

    This field appears only when the time approval workflow is enabled and is available for users that are not assigned the Administrator role.

    If the time approval workflow is enabled, a manager must be specified for each employee so an organization chart can be established. In cases where the user needs to approve timecards for people that do not directly report to them, the Time Approval Access option can be used to specify these employees.

Other Preferences

  • Receive notification for inbound emails

    If this field is selected, a copy of the email that is sent to the Email module is sent to the user's standard email address as well.

  • Available for users with the Administrator role:

    • Set Favorite Features link

      The user can select which features are their favorite and used most. The selected features will then appear at the top of the Jump to Page list, in the Favorites section of the Lead and Project Home page, and in the mobile app.

    • Set Push Notifications link

      The user can enable push notifications for the selected modules. These are typically for mobile phones, but push notifications can also appear in the browser, if enabled.

    • Set Alerts link

      The user can select the type of alerts that they want to appear on the Home page and Calendars.

  • Available for users that are not assigned the Administrator role:

    • Add / Edit Companies and Contacts

      All security roles provide read access to companies and contacts in the Contact Management module. Selecting one or both fields grants permission to add or edit corresponding records.

    • Change Project Status

      If selected, the user can make a project active or inactive.

    • Add / Edit Templates

      This field can be selected for users that are not assigned the Administrator role to grant them permission to add or edit detail report Microsoft Word templates. Administrators have full access rights to the Settings, including the ability to add or delete detail report Microsoft Word templates.

Session Duration

Specify how long can the user be inactive in Sage Construction Management before they are automatically logged out. The user will see a message letting them know that they're about to be logged out of the system.

The default selection is 1 hour, but you can adjust it up to 12 hours.

Login with external provider (SSO or MFA)

Do you wish to use SSO or MFA?

If selected, Google SSO or Microsoft Azure Active Directory credentials can be used to log in to Sage Construction Management. In addition, authentication can be verified using a code that is sent to the user's phone.
