Edit an RFI

Edit the RFI header information

  1. At the RFI listing page, click on the RFI number to view the details.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Enter of modify the information under the following sections as needed:
    • General Information
    • Originator
    • Coordinated By
    • Request
    • Suggestion By Originator or Coordinator
    • References
    • Schedule and Financial Impact
    • Response Workflow

      You can enable the response workflow and specify its type.

    • Status

      You can update the company that is currently responsible to either the originator or one of the respondents, or mark the RFI as closed.

  4. Select Save or Save & Close.

Add or edit respondents

  1. In the RFI Details page, go to the Respondents section.
  2. To add a company and contact to the respondents, do the following:
    Companies and contacts referenced in the RFI must exist in the Contact Management and be listed in the project directory before they can be imported into the RFI.
    1. Select Import Company / Contact.
    2. Optional: Enter a Response Due Date.
    3. Optional: Use the Search field to filter the results.
    4. Select the companies and contacts that will respond to the RFI from the list.
    5. Select Add or Add & Close.
  3. To enter or modify the Order Number, Sent Date, Response Due Date, and Responded Date fields only, do the following:
    1. Select Edit.
    2. Update any of the fields as needed.
    3. Select Save.
  4. To enter or modify company related information, including the response, do the following:
    1. Select the company from the respondents list.
    2. In the RFI Respondent Details form, update any of the date and response fields as needed.
    3. Select Save or Save & Close.

Add CC recipients

You can add companies and contacts as CC recipients that will receive the email with the RFI details. However, CC recipients are not able to respond online.

  1. In the RFI Details page, select Import Company / Contact under the CC Recipients section.
  2. Select the companies and contacts from the list.
  3. Select Add & Close.

Upload or Link Additional Files

You can upload or link files, such as images or PDF documents, that are relevant to the RFI record.

  1. In the RFI Details page, go to the Linked Files section.

  2. To upload files from your local drive, select one or more files from your drive and drag them to the Drag files here area within the Linked Files section.

    Alternatively, select Add to find and upload files from your local drive.

  3. To link existing files that have already been uploaded to Sage Construction Management, do the following under the Linked Files section:
    1. Select Link Existing and select one of the following options:
      • Drawings & Specs
      • Photos
      • All other records
    2. Optional: Select the Feature Name to filter the results, if applicable.
    3. Select one or more files from the list.
    4. Select Link & Close.
