Copy submittal items for resubmission

You can copy submittal items that have been rejected to a new submittal for resubmission.

Step 1: View rejected submittal items that require resubmission

  1. Go to Leads or Projects and select the lead or project in the Quick Select section.
  2. On the Lead or Project Home page, select Submittals under the Correspondence section.
  3. Select the submittal record with the rejected items that require resubmission.
  4. Select Actions > Copy for Resubmission.

The Copy Submittal For Resubmission wizard opens. The Project and Submittal fields are pre-filled but can be modified.

Step 2: Select the submittal items for resubmission

  1. Review an update the Project and Submittal number, if needed.
  2. Optionally, you can filter the submittal items based on the Item Status.
  3. Select one or more submittal items from the list.
  4. Select Next.

Step 3: Add the information for the new submittal

  1. Review an update the Submittal #, Issue Date, and Subject as needed.

    The issue date's default value is set to today's date.

  2. Optionally, specify the Originator and Respondent Due Dates.
  3. Optionally, to copy the dates specified in the Item Dates - Material Required On Site and Design Review section for each item to the new submittal, select the Copy Material Required On Site and Design Review Dates option.
  4. Optionally, to copy the dates specified in the Item Dates - Material Delivery To Site section for each item to the new submittal, select the Copy Anticipated And Estimated Delivery Date option.
  5. Optionally, to link the files uploaded with the original submittal to the new submittal, select Link Related Files.
  6. Select Finish.

By default, the description, quantity, manufacturer information, and references of the original submittal items are copied to the new submittal.
