Use the response workflow for submittals

You can use the response workflow for submittals to send emails to the respondents either sequentially or simultaneously.

  1. At the submittal listing page, click on the submittal number to view the details.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. In the Response Workflow section, select Use Response Workflow?.
  4. Specify the Workflow Type.

    The following options are available:

    • Sequential: A response request email alert is sent automatically to the next respondent after comments have been entered in the TeamLink Portal by the current respondent. If you select this workflow type, you must also select the Auto Notify Respondents option to automatically notify the respondents when responses are posted.
    • Parallel: Email response requests are sent to all respondents simultaneously. To automatically notify the respondents when responses are posted, you can select Auto Notify Respondents.
  5. Select Save & Close

Next step: Send the submittal to the respondents.

After receiving all responses, edit the submittal header information to mark the submittal closed. This will ensure only open items appear in the Correspondence Calendar and Alerts view and will prevent response modifications through the TeamLink Portal.
